I don't think Carl even attempted to just tap Brad back like Jimmy & Kurt did a couple weeks ago.
As wrecks go it was pretty good. I had a feeling Carl would punt him given the chance. Sucks for those teams that were wrecked too by running into BK's debri.
I see frustration from the ford camp. Of course CE thinks BK should respect him but you don't get respect when you don't give it. BK had the car to beat and CE didn't like this kid wippen his butt.......any bets on NA$CAR'S reaction? My take is the garage has less respect for CE......that is worse that a fine. When your peers don't respect you, you have a major problem. Wonder what Schrader thinks..............
I think Carl will get a stern talking to. Doubt anything will happen. NASCAR told them free for all, they'll have to change the rules to enforce clean racing, which I don't think they really want until someone gets seriously hurt.
I think this will be the example, Nascar is going to park Carl for one race on the cup side. No points, just park him and tell everybody " If anybody goes that far again this is what happen's ".........lets see if i'm right.
I seriously doubt they will do anything to Carl , seeing as this is the year of "boys have at it" . He'll most likely get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again .
After meeting with Edwards in the NASCAR hauler, Nationwide Series director Joe Balash attributed the final-lap crash to hard racing.
"I think at the last lap there was a lot of hard racing going on," Balash said. "There was some movement on the racetrack. It was a tough finish for a really great race. We've chatted about this evening, yes. We don't talk about any of those conversations [that we have] in the hauler."
