Rest day. A day to do all the things that need doing, like the work. Non race day I'll call it, and heading into it I'm at ease with, for the most part what has transpired so far in the epic tale of the endless trail of this, the Dakar Rally. We are not that bad off and there has been much rejoicing. So it is said the devil finds work for idle hands and as idle as mine are the work was found.........to see what the sporting world had to offer.
First stop bookmaker.com, let's see what the boys here had to say about......Oh I see sir, this domain name has been seized by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcment-Homeland Security Investigations, Office of The Special Agent in Charge Baltimore MD. in accordance with the assistance of the U.S. Attorneys office for the District of Maryland and issued pursuant to 18 U.S.C. Ss 981 and 1955(d) by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. And there will be no fruit cup? Pardon me while I step back out the door and ...oh here, this knob is just a bit dirty I'll wipe that off for you there....bye.
The next door I kicked in was 5dimes.com....do we have to say dot com anymore I mean I can see dot net or dot CA any way this place it seems you can bet on water polo, skiing, volleyball. oh here we go rally racing. The link took me back to the first place I was......sportspunter...no. Some screw ball place Bravada.Lv no...... betonline..no It seems for the work I'm willing to put in to find out what the odds were on the Dakar Rally it's going nowhere, I'd rather rest. Perhaps some offshore or South American place but to be honest, without an open willingness to let all my personal information fly around the globe like some sort of banner of poverty I have no chance of making a bet on this.......and I guess who would right? Then I realized what I already knew, had already known, had known all along and was well aware of, the population of the United States knows more about....., well lets just say that it is time to rest, put to rest because it will get no rest if I continue. For all I know there are no odds on the Rally at all and for my money I'd have been better off improving my knowledge of the Rally itself rather than finding out that homeland security closed bookmaker.......the end of books, that is a black future. see Fahrenheit 451 for reference.

I bet they gamble on the Dakar in Monte Carlo. Book a flight.

You can probably also find some action at the outside of the yellow tape at bivouac

Brilliant!
