I know that the time is looming near and that Robby hasn't made any sort of announcement pertaining to the 500 . Any word about if he'll be there for one of the teams that hasn't named their driver yet ? Or , will he be doing the NAPCAR thing ?
Hey TOG, I saw this post on the Planet Robby Facebook page, CURB/AGAJANAIN/TEAM36 IS TRYING TO FIND A DRVER A DRIVER FOR INDY, if this is true think you could pass this on tomm. to Robby if you talk to him, the sooner the better, Memorial Day Weekend is getting closer by the second. We could only wish.........this would happen, or with another team.
I like PT and think it would really cool to see him win (and actaully be credited for the win this time)..
I agree........the best shot at the 20 million Bonus is JPM and I would think for sponsor props...Tony Stewart might try and shed 40 pounds and he would be REALLY legit.......
For the money we are talking.....Maybe a JGR prepared car for Robby for the 600....at that point I would say Robby could be a favorite.....
It's cool Robby is leading the poll but IMO the only driver who would have a real shot at it is JPM. But as far as Indy and open wheel goes he's already been there, done that, and I don't think he's hurting for coin.
I disagree, I think Stewart has the best shot by far. Not only has he won at LMS but he's come close to winning the 500 before, he always runs well at Indy.
3 yrs. ago maybe.....he did come close one year......3rd and 6th i think. i'm not sure anybody can do it. the stars would have to be aligned near perfect for that to ever happen.
When you add up experience, team, resources, and proven competitive equipment in both series, Ganassi has already has it in place.
Stewart has the Cup side covered, but Indy? Nothing. And forget about the "just" crap as in "just" get a ride with Penske or Andretti. Easy to say from the Lazy-Boy but damn near impossible to make happen in the real world.
