Infineon Strategy

I sure hope RGM is working on their fuel strategy for the road course races this year.
Every year we have one of the fastest cars, only to get beat by some wanker on fuel mileage. Last year was the worst by far.
I'd be more thrilled by a well-planned top 10 finish rather than leading the first half of the race only to finish 34th behind Sadler and Andretti...

I love to see RG come up through the field on RC's....some of the best moments of the year.

Yeah, but that was MUCH easier with the old cars as Robby outbuilt even Hendrick IMO on chassis for those...

These cars are so equal, even the ham and eggers on RC's are tough to pass these days...

Yea, but he was still good last year in them...just the fuel mileage killed and the pit stops.

It might be easy for the big teams to cause a late race caution here too, like causing a spin etc.

I saw where the 55 will have Carpentier for that ride and Said will be in the 08.

If Robby had the dollars, who would he put in a second car for that race? Just fun to speculate on that because that week always has its share of ringers.

B.J. but why bother this is Robby's race the money would be better spent on a Killer pit crew specialized in right side pit stops.

Infineon has "normal" side pits. Watkins Glen is where it's different.

Its always seems simple when you look back at the race...the first to make a green flag pit, then a caution comes out, within sight of the end of the race wins. Like KB did in one of them last year....I would shoot for that, because you dont go a lap down and worst case RG can pass and drive like hell. I only always worry about Mec. faluire, he pushes car so hard.
