I have a question for all of the experts we have on this site.  In the winter when I'm doing a power slide around every curve in the road.  Why is it I am much smoother on the left handers then I am on the right hand turns?   I have never raced on a track.  But turning left seem to feel much more comfortable in a slide!
Is it because I'm right handed?  Or if the steering wheel was on the right side of the car would I be better at a right hand turn?    Just for fun

Most street cars are built with close to 50% left side/right side weight bias, so by you sitting on the left side of the car it increases left side percentage and therefore turns better to left.Have you ever noticed the difference in the amount of understeer (push) the car has when the fuel tank is near empty vs full? That rear percentage.Hope that helps.
So with your theory If I have a passenger! I will be smoother sliding my car around a right hand corner. I don't think so. Are you sure it not a left brain right brain thing?
Not my theory, scale the car how ever its being driven, tell me the percentages or actual wheel weights and I'll do the math.
I tend to nod off to the left so I naturally turn left.
LOL.. heck.. I was thinking it was because that you tend to lean your body into the direction your turning (kinda like fighting off G-force).. Since the door is on your left, it stops you from leaning to far. Since thier is no door on the right you tend to lean a little to far as your turning and then don't have as great of control.

OH hell.. I don't know.. I'm just blowing smoke up your ass....LOL.
i am going for the " Or if the steering wheel was on the right side of the car would I be better at a right hand turn?"
the simple response is that your steering wheel is on the left side of your car. go to europe and that would all change.
or Australia or New Zealand
You have to turn those backwards because its south of the equator:-)
Yea, most Nascar drivers cant turn right either....
ia it two or four wheel drive
And in the dirt, what about pitching the car right to go left, or left to go right.....its car control....and RG has it...ask him!
