Per Jayski:

UPDATE: Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc., maker of Jim Beam Bourbon, the world's number one-selling Bourbon, announced that its marketing plans for 2010 will not include a return to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. As a result, the company will not extend its current partnership with Robby Gordon Motorsports in 2010. The company plans to focus its marketing resources for Jim Beam into other platforms that directly impact the end consumer. "It was a difficult decision to transition away from being a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team sponsor," said Bill Newlands, president Beam Global Spirits & Wine U.S. "We always take a hard look at our marketing resources and how we can best interact with legal purchase age consumers. After an extensive review of our marketing strategy, we have come up with new alternatives to fuel growth for Jim Beam in 2010." Jim Beam will continue its support of #7-Robby Gordon Motorsports for the remainder of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup series schedule."Jim Beam has been a great partner for the past five years," said Robby Gordon. "I would like to thank them for their support through the years. They have been with me since we started the team in 2005, helping build our Cup team and aiding in its success. Great relationships have been formed, and I expect those to continue well into the future

Hopefully Robby can land the greygoose sponsorship. It'd mix much better with Monster.

Cant say this is a suprise
Maybe he can hook up with Absolute Vodka! The Mandarin Orange is a favorite of mine!
Jayski's showing JB as primary at Phoenix and Homestead still this year. But Jimbeam.com shows only Phoenix and the Baja 1000, not Homestead. Another concession for missing Richmond? This adds a new twist to silly season.
Makes me think RG won't be at homestead.
yeah he will
That's good, as I went around boldly predicting Robby would win at homestead. I admit I was too excited by the strength of RGM's intermediate program.
this is old news.....lol
I'm really sorry to see Jim Beam go.
Hopefully RGM can find a suitable replacement sponsor that is as enthusiastic as JB has been. Ideally, it would be one who could also be marketted to kids. We all know how great Robby is with his young fans, and it would be really cool to see the younger generation sporting Robby fan gear.
kettle one is better and they are doing some spots on tv
Maybe Monster is ready to move to Cup. They already have RC in the trucks..
It may be too late for Monster in Cup racing. With Red Bull & AMP, the segment is probably saturated beyond a point where Monster could expect reasonable returns.
I wonder if Red Bull has thought that Nascar fans wouldnt appeal to energy drinks either. Wait they sponsor 2 cup cars full ride. Monster should reconsider.
