STAGE 7 TRACKING

STAGE 7: SALTA > SALTA

Connection 230km | Special Stage 533km | Total 763km

COURSE OVERVIEW

This mega loop with a 500-km long special stage on the agenda will test the teams’ ability to adapt to changes of pace. After stony terrains at the beginning of the day, some top speeds will be recorded in the second part of the stage, and then the drivers’ road techniques will be tested, and all of this at an average altitude of almost 3,500m. To end this highly emotional day, they will have to cross a vast salt flat extending over twenty or so kilometres: a straight stretch which will make the competitors’ heads spin.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Baldwin is IN , 28th place - 50m52s behind in today's stage.

Not to rub it in, but aside from Sainz, it seems like no one's been able to reliably make up time on the Minis.

Continuing to run the rally will give a window into future engineering and a opportunity to run it in the desert heat in the off season.

Agreed a lot more extreme heat testing

I'm thinking a good old fashion Barstow to Vegas run during July, that should be all the extreme heat testing you need!

or Glamis in August

would have been better than 1000 kilometers testing on roads during winter

Been there and Furnace Creek, strangely it was "cool"

and yet we have no idea what todays issue is

its got to be higher, Eureka, Ely, Fallon , Wells Nevada, Trout Creek, Green River, Wendover, Blanding, Monticello Utah.

BJ arrival 28th

Death Valley CA.
