STAGE 10 TRACKING

STAGE 10: BELEN > LA RIOJA

Connection 485km | Special Stage 278km | Total 763km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Fiambala dunes have become one of the decisive stages of the Dakar. This year, they feature at the heart of the most critical rally sequence, when drivers and their vehicles will have to demonstrate their aptitude for extreme endurance. Moreover, the day’s stage presents the longest dune section in the shared history of the Dakar and Fiambala, off-piste for most of the time. In short, an open door for desert specialists.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Who look like taking some podiums Mini's getting better as the Dakar winds down

Not bad considering all . An odd rally this year , very disappointing wit shorted and cancelled stages .

El Niño ruining the course
I'm still pissed about that. Canadian bush race

It was one hell of a burnout though

Remember when RG was in the 31 Lowes car and Nascar used him as the ginny pig to test the electronic bullshit?

Was kicking the fields ass and all of a sudden the fucking dash caught on fire.
That too was a real pisser.

Watkins Glen when he took Skinners place.

that was the in-car camera...which I suppose qualifies as electronic BS....

I met the guy who was responsible for that setup. Robby still gives him shit to this day about it.

He works for BSI, they did the live TV incar cameras at X games and Australia for SST

Canadian Busch races, best NASCAR races., Watkins Glen Busch and Sprint races very good as well. The rest... ho hum

Here's a good DAKAR tracker issue for you. The car 380 apparently took 27hr 53min 32sec to get from the start to WP1. His start time was 12:19 and current time is 17:22, but somehow he took nearly 28 hours to WP1. Maybe the ASO just added a 1 day penalty for him with no explanation.

ha - that's great

he must have started yesterday!

Rest assured the navigators do their own timing in the cars, they will pick up if you cheat them with one second, this is probably an IT nerd's mistake
