With as close of a margin between Peter and Roma all it will is take a hiccup to make the difference.

Peter Piper needs a puncture

I'm pulling for Roma ...that goes without saying. however I'm also a fan...bigger I'd have to say of an honest race. No matter what the sport a soiled triumph is worthless and void of notation. On those grounds if it were the factual base that we are proceeding on that Picked a peck of pickled peppers were ...i'm sorry...was instructed that Roma is to be the standard bearer then by all means I must look at the race as being between two faceless competitors and the dirtier the finish in pursuit of victory the better. In a nut shell, the entire event and all the worlds time and mine has been wasted if a set structure is in place and to be honest it forges even deeper my desire to see Robby be in contention in all future efforts just to eliminate this ........conneries!

I'm a fan of an honest race too. The idea that the top runners are within a few minutes of each other, right at the end, and then they are told they can't race ? What kind of race is that ?

Sounds like the Mini drivers feel the same way, but hopefully they've made some kind of agreement among each other. Having one driver going balls out, while the other takes it easy because he's been told the outcome is fixed is no fair either.

It's been fun today but I need to work on finding a new job. In light of my unsubstantiated reporting over the course of the last few hours perhaps I can get a job as a network television reporter. Take care y'all and enjoy your day.

is robby sitll in dakar?

Apparently not, unfortunately. While there was a chance they might run today, no one really knows what the story is, although it may be that they were unable to fix the gas tank issue that put them out yesterday.

Short video discussing a new Corvette race car, and engine. This is Robby's engine, or his engine's cousin. A point is made about being required to use a restrictor plate here too.

Beautiful Vettes!

Restrictors are required by IMSA in the GTLM class as a balance of performance to the other makes of cars in the class. All cars in the class are restricted in some way, in different areas, to make all entrants as close as possible in terms of performance and lap times.

Thx PDX. I guess being as it is closed course racing, it's much easier to balance the restrictions in order to keep the racing wheel to wheel. Same effort is being made in Dakar, 2wd versus 4wd, etc., but Dakar can also set a terrain that favors one over another. It seems much more wide open in terms of these types of controls, and "who the hell really knows what's going on," in the Dakar. I don't mean this as critical of the Dakar. I'm just pointing out what's obvious to most of the gang here.

Yep, I agree.

I have driven a few C7 with the Z51 package, it is a great car.
