The only way I can see for Gordon to get back into the race is to be granted a new start time by the steward, then he would have to drive to the end and check in. He would take a 7 hour penalty for missing the checkpoints but then he could have his card stamped and be allowed into the next stage.
Alternatively if he did not receive help from other then his support vehicle and was registered as starting the stage then all he has to do is drive to the end, get his card stamped and start the next stage. He will get a penalty of one minute per minute over the maximum time allowed for Stage 11 plus a 1 hour penalty for each CP missed during the stage.
Alternatively I could just be missing a section in the regulations. You can find them online at http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2013/docs/reglement-auto-camion-dakar-20...
You've done your homework. I like it. Who knows why? Might be just a tease. But I bet we'll find out.
+1
also note who sent you to the supplier
Who else got "This Fuel".?.............................All these years and it finaly dawned on me. Robby Gordon....the "Black Sabbath" of the motorsports world......................................And......................to me.....................That's a GOOD thing.
I am hoping Robby is allowed to run tomorrow. Everyone understands the race for a stage win is now over, but it sure would be nice for the Fans of Chile and for the promoters and of course every Robby fan to see just what the Gordini can do.
be nice to go back to Icuique for a couple of days of filming. get the story to Peter berg, this year is a movie script.
This gas thing has been freaking ridiculous... The ASOholes need to get this sorted out before the next Rally. F#cking bush league...
there are no emissions regulations in Chile, Bolivia and Argentina. Gas could have an RVP of up to 15si then as you climb it gets worse. Vapor Lock.Knock etc and you don't know how old it is whats in it as far as olefins or solvents like Toulene Benzine etc.
Diesel oddly gets a bit better as you climb to a point.
Shell's big deal is Biobutanol or Isobutanol they could be a sponsor, Sunoco markets an E85 as well as Alky, If nothing else buyASOs avgas which has an RVP hopefully around 5.5 but could be as high as 7psi.
How stock is production for the block? Composite Castings can cast a composite block that would weigh about 40lbs-60lbs Maybe.
maybe they can give Mika a call and see if he would be interested as a second Gordini next year.
