Connection 487km | Special Stage 290km | Total 777km
COURSE OVERVIEW
The competitors will have an early start and a long way to go to join the start of the special stage. But the pace that the drivers will have to keep up on the first very fast part of the route will immediately ensure that they remain extremely focused. After the big, fast bends negotiated on firm ground, the entrance in a backdrop of dunes will significantly slow down their progress. In Nihuil, the grey-coloured sand bears witness to the intense volcanic activity which occurred in the region several thousand years ago.

Wow, day 2 we are already hitting 2000m. I hope the mini lose more HP than the Hummer up in the thin air.
yea let em have it
great day for robby in the special cant wait for tomorrow gas on mother trucker
Defending champion Nasser Al-Attiyah lost a huge 10 minutes in his Hummer on the short stage after suffering an engine problem two kilometres from the finish - he stands 38th - whereas 2009 winner Giniel de Villiers was fourth in his Toyota pick-up, 15s off the lead.
Robby Gordon, also considered a viable winner, was fifth in his Hummer while Carlos Sousa (Great Wall) was sixth ahead of Christian Lavieille (Proto Dessoude). Gordon would have won the stage had he not stopped to tow team-mate Al-Attiyah to the finish.
fond this news thought everybody would want to see it
Robby has the fastest tow-truck in the rally.
What time do they take off?
