STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: ROSARIO > VILLA CARLOS PAZ

Connection 404km | Special Stage 258km | Total 662km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Argentina is a country of mountains, in all forms. Although the first stage is not yet at altitude, the summits are well and truly visible. The wheels of the vehicles follow sinewy and undulating tracks, with the exception of the first, faster, part of the special section. A partial separation of the categories will ensure dangerous overtaking is avoided.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

looking that way

Wake up call IMO.

Can't under estimate the four wheel drive vehicles, they are fast. Many are in it to win it, going to be a battle.

Robby just need to take his time in the top 3 until half mark then start pouring it on He needs to win a few stages and he will be seating pretty at the end. Go Robby

IMO, you can't win the Rally on a two mile stage, but you can sure throw away a Rally .....

For the Dakar. What engines do they run. And what are the restrictions?

RG is using a Chevy LS7 to the best of our knowledge, which uses the 39mm restrictor.

Time to check out some weather forecasts, post em up!

So it sounds like the water crossing was a little too deep for the Gordini's. http://www.race-dezert.com/home/buenos-aires-to-rosario-dakar-rally...

For Sainz too but didn't stop him to finish 2nd .
El matador is still very sharp .

Dakar.com reporting heavy rains and 30 min delay for bikes to start...

Hope RG got his wipers motor working...don't want what happened after the river crossing in yesterday's prologue to happen today.
