STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: ROSARIO > SAN LUIS

Connection 629km | Special Stage 180km | Total 809km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will wake up early to set off along the road in the region of Cordoba and start the race on some narrow tracks which will require the utmost vigilance. Each one will still be very fresh allowing them to tackle the stony sections or the blind jumps serenely. The competitors’ driving skills will be rewarded at the finish, where they will have already clocked up 800 kilometres. Although the gaps will not be significant at this stage of the race, it is nevertheless important to maintain their position in the part of the standings that they are aiming for!

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Well like any other Race person i am starting to get butterflies with anticipation and will stay short by saying best of luck and results for this grueling event. Planet Robbyans stay strong and Thanks to the Administrators and fans.

All hands on deck (stolen from Twitter)

this looks serious are they pulling the motor?

no

thats good. After looking at a few more pics the motor is crazy caged in there. Looking forward to seeing the beast in action.

where is the engine ?
Is it a solid rear axle ?

thanks, i missed these photos

Holy crap I am getting excited again, for some crazy ass racing. TOG and all the othes who make this possible, a huge thank you! Gas on Robby and look out for those damn llama's.

I hope Tog gets that green light go ahead to post more stuff today!

There was a post on RDZ, showing an interview from the project manager of the MINI program, basically complaining that the new 2wd cars have an unfair advantage this year.

Humm….how many 2wd cars, vs 4wd cars have taken the overall win in the last few years ? I think they've already demonstrated where the advantage lies, while the organizers probably understand the excitement surrounding the idea that there's always a possibility that someone other than the Mini's might win.

Perish the thought, but still...

On the other hand, from the standpoint of publicity, I think the Rally itself has always counted on the fact that a production car ( or one that looks like one) will take the win, so if buggies do start winning, there may be a change in the rules that makes sure that the names of well-known auto manufacturers remain in the forefront.

Just got home from work 35 hours after leaving for work. Spent the time plowing snow. Everyone used 4WD but me, who thinks 2WD is more fun driving in the snow. And I always seem to get the job done FASTER.
