STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: SAN LUIS > SAN RAFAEL

Connection 365km | Special Stage 433km | Total 798km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The fastest special stage of the rally, at least for its first part, will also be the one where drivers will have to face the first dunes. And it won’t just be a brief encounter with sand: in the last 100 kilometres, the exploration of the grey dunes of Nihuil will be even more intensive than during previous visits. The sand is more firm there, but the experience will provide a great deal of insight about each of the competitors’ technical skills. In short it will be a veritable test.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Does anyone kow if they got them muffler bearings changed so they are good to go today?

Gas on RG - The shakedown didn't go well, but hopefully the gremlins are gone. Chin up, Pedal down!

RGM has had a terrible start to the Rally the last three years. Yesterday's vapor lock, last year's dune and tranny problem, and even while RG was having a great run stage 1 2012, Nasser did not and RG had to forfit the win to tow him home. The evidence says that RG can recover to win stages and apply pressure to the leaders. Let's get this HST dialed in and show the world that yesterday was a fluke.

Goodspeed Robby, and show them all who is The Rebel!!

Rebel!?

The fastest special in this year's rally, with different courses for motorcycles/quads and cars/trucks. The first dunes come in the last 100 kilometres. A 304 km link section will lead the motorcycles and quads to their 359 km timed section, while the trucks will race for 400 km and the cars for 433. The motorcycles are scheduled to start at 9 am local time. The stage is expected to be a close one for both those riding alone and those driving side-by-side with their crews. Will those who flopped on Sunday bounce back? De Villiers and Gordon will certainly be in the mix. Stay tuned...

There will be a delay to raceday chat going up. In the meantime, just post here.

Roger That! Thanks TOG

Twitter not working for me today(?) KM177 is CP1/ WP4 today, seem to be our only updates.

yes, another day of scoring gone bad

good morning everybody!!! going to be an exciting day if they got RG's problems sorted out and he can drive it to the finish in one piece :)

I just hope when he hits the first Checkpoint he is still around the racers he started with. Then it will be a good sign they alleviated the problem.
