STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: SAN LUIS > SAN RAFAEL

Connection 365km | Special Stage 433km | Total 798km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The fastest special stage of the rally, at least for its first part, will also be the one where drivers will have to face the first dunes. And it won’t just be a brief encounter with sand: in the last 100 kilometres, the exploration of the grey dunes of Nihuil will be even more intensive than during previous visits. The sand is more firm there, but the experience will provide a great deal of insight about each of the competitors’ technical skills. In short it will be a veritable test.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Sweet!

The Brazilian driver Guilherme Spinelli sign the third time at Km 259 of the special cars with 5'14 "behind Peterhansel. Holowczyc Mini The fifth tip to 7'28". Note also the fifteenth time Robby Gordon.

from the dakar site http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2014/fr/etape-2/depeches.html

I read this too and to me it makes no sense.

I think that Robby Gordon has 15.time at CP1

French is the only way to have the latest info, dam.. but, wtf do they mean???

Barreda also had a pretty good fall after encountering some livestock. Damaged his roadbook. Thx 8340SU for the photo https://twitter.com/RallyRaidReview/status/420244283531091968/photo/1

Still no news of Carlos Sousa or Nani Roma who are absent from this score yet. The two men went in first and fourth place this morning but they have not yet crossed the CP, while 15 competitors have been reported at this location.

Heard that Souza had a blown turbo.

RG reported 4min. 28 sec down at CP1,,,,,,http://www.trackingdakar.nl/index.php?page=stage

mine shows nothing

If earlier info I read is true this will be the only CP until the finish
