STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: SAN LUIS > SAN RAFAEL

Connection 365km | Special Stage 433km | Total 798km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The fastest special stage of the rally, at least for its first part, will also be the one where drivers will have to face the first dunes. And it won’t just be a brief encounter with sand: in the last 100 kilometres, the exploration of the grey dunes of Nihuil will be even more intensive than during previous visits. The sand is more firm there, but the experience will provide a great deal of insight about each of the competitors’ technical skills. In short it will be a veritable test.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

This would put Sainz in the overall by a few seconds over Peterhansel through CP1.

Looks like Peter has a Handle on it today.

Always Mr. Consistancy

Be interesting to see what he could do if they put him in their waterboy car instead of there best.

Why don't they put GPS trackers on the damn cars so we can see where they are real time? Just make sure the cars don't have access. It would improve safety as well.

They do have.

Why not post them on the site live then? Or at least at different points at the race? Would make it more fun to follow and better than checkpoints that don't work.

At least in a sense which is why you see stuff like so and soo's sensory beacon has them stopped at so and so location.

Good point. Robby should stop racing Dakar and help them run it. They really have no clue.

2 hrs. and I don't know anymore than I did when I started this morning

Good morning everyone! any news from ground zero? just red the 16 pages....

They say "No News is Good News!" I hope that is the case today
