STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: CHILECITO > COPIAPO

Connection 594km | Special Stage 315km | Total 909km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will have to prove they are worthy of entering Chile! A very early start and a climb to a height of 4,800 metres will precede the border crossing at Paso San Francisco. The really challenging section will begin with a gradual warm-up on the mining tracks, before drivers are faced with the reality of the Atacama Desert. The route here is open and sandy. Over the course of the last 40 kilometres, the giant dunes and basins of Copiapo will have to be tackled and for many this will be at night. Overcoming them will require finesse and instinct.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

For those of you who don't live in the Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania USA region of the world.

Don't we all miss AI (The Answer)? The post AI Sixers are pathetic! What have they done since AI? That guy put it all out on the court and had great interviews. "we talkin bout practice"

His mom was equally as prolific with the memorable interviews. "Don't go there wit me!"

Where's that classic RG, "Mini's are for girls" or "Waltrip is a ......."

Cool.

Dose Robby have night vision goggles to drive in the dark. If he stuck in the desert overnight, is he allowed to kill a lamas and cook them. Reading thru the dakar rule book, doesn't mention either.

Night vision goggles? nahh, with the light of the moon he is ok,. lol,.

Outlaw LED = problem solved

19:24 Cars: A mixed bag for Peugeot
Stéphane Peterhansel gave Peugeot staff reason to cheer today, as he fought for the stage until the very end, but Carlos Sainz lost the Dakar after only 32 km in today's special. In fact, the Spaniard's still stuck next to his assistance truck.

I can't believe the amount of attrition....almost half in just 4 stages.

Indeed Buzz, I don't remember this sort of attrition in years past. But the organizers did say at the beginning that this course would be tougher than last year, and they've certainly been right so far.

Hey WJM, you bad mouth Pugs-but where are they at?

2 out of 3 suck as bad as us

an the last one, the end is coming soon,.
