STAGE 6: ANTOFAGASTA > IQUIQUE
Connection 392km | Special Stage 255km | Total 657km
COURSE OVERVIEW
The route will then climb up the Pacific coast towards Iquique. The motorcycles and quad bikes will cover a few extra kilometres as part of the special stage: a detour will take them into endurance-type terrain and onto mountain ridges with views over the sea. All the competitors will then explore the dunes which run alongside and dominate the coastline. But they won’t arrive at the bivouac via the famous descent. For the first time, the half-way point in the race will be marked on a podium in the centre of Iquique. The encounter between drivers and their fans will be emotional, following the earthquake which affected the region at the start of the year.
The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I keep looking for 310 as well, that last part must have been a mother.
Maybe they tried another shortcut, showed 23 at last posting
Going to start getting harder to pick up positions in the overall. After the 338 and 343 which he will probably catch by the time they finish the stage, it's about 1hr 30 min to the next position.
@Shane The Dakar isn't even half over. Hours can be lost by all. Keep finishing in the top 5 and the 308 will climb very high on the charts. I bet no one thought we could catch Sainz at the start of yesterdays stage. Guess what, POOF gone. Dakar is not for the weary.
We need a string of consistent high placed finishes, so we can build, for next year and iron out the bugs with the Gordini all while moving up the leader board. .
I didn't say he couldn't do it @7gason7, I said it was going to be HARDER. He's been separated by minutes on the past few stages, but now it will most likely be a bigger gap to the next competitor. Plus the higher he climbs the better and more consistent the competition.
Per RDC-Bent wheel cost RG the time due to being under inflated.
