Well there goes another one of the top navigators.

Unfortunately for Robby, if he races Dakar will have another new navigator.

Congrats to Johnny Campbell on getting another opportunity to race Dakar with a top level fully committed Honda program.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Robby may not be racing in the Dakar this year. Time will tell and I'm sure as soon as an annoucement is made the Planet will be the first to post it.

Your feeling is more than likely correct.

Good for Johnny. Wish him the best of luck!

Its all about the Benjamins. My guess is he'll be there if a non-SPEED sponsors shows.

Shot in the dark but i read that robby was in paris a few days ago. My guess is he was/is working on a deal for dakar sponsership or second driver. Total speculation...

Or maybe being real clear on what the rules are and if they are going to treat him fairly? We feel RG is a big draw for the Dakar race, but the promoters may not see it the same way.

For anyone interested in the developement of the bike itself, we have been tracking this for over a month at the Planet Biker Bar. As news started breaking in the last week or two, Mike Kenyon started a thread with a random update of mine from an obscure bike site I hit when looking for Dakar updates. This thread started a new Planet Biker Bar inside joke. Feel free to join in...
