This was actually circulating last week that Budweiser could stop payment without Kahne behind the wheel. Looks like normal business practice on Budweiser's part. RPM should hav ecleared it with Budweiser before releasing Kahne. I wouldn't be suprised if the 9 car parks it after Dega. Menards is paid up so they're good through Homestead. The 19 & 43 would probably find a way to run. Can't see RPM wanting to hurt the realtionships with Stanley & Best Buy. The 9 parking would be expected. No sponsor, short on funds, no danger of falling outside the Top 35 ..why run it.
Actually, I beleive the way the rule is written, its the top 35 in points that have attempted all the races, so miss a race and you're out. Thats why the car ran every week when Mark Martin did a partial schedule. He was certainly high enough in points, skipping martinsville, bristol, and restrictor tracks, but the car has to enter every event, unless less than 35 have done so.
Stop drinking Bud, start drinking SPEED.
