Kvapil was comfortable in a RGM car last time at Pocono

Finall Kvapil Back On Track
by John McCopland

(from the article)
Kvapil’s seat time has been almost nonexistent since he lost his Cup ride. The only time Kvapil, the 2003 truck series champion, has strapped into a race car was in June when he put Robby Gordon’s Cup car through its practice paces while Gordon was competing in an off-road event in Mexico.

Kvapil said the layoff would not be a factor.

“I don’t think it will be a big deal,” he said. “I felt comfortable the very first lap when I jumped in Robby Gordon’s car at Pocono.”

Well done with the story link.
???? Where did you read him saying the car was superb? Did I miss something?
That is exactly what I got out of the article. That Travis was comfortable in a COT racecar after being out for a few months ( at that time )
Then we're all agreed what the writer meant. Just didn't understand what Candace was implying by the post. As Kevin remembered below, Travis did have good stuff to say about RG's car during an interview at the event. "Good stuff" doesn't mean superior or superb. But we're getting there.... Slowly, no doubt, but that's the only way to build a strong enough foundation to truly succeed versus another flash in the pan.
Of course he said something nice. They hired him to do some driving. An unemployed race driver isn't going to hop out and scream about a horrible piece of shit the car is.

People here complain about drivers being vanilla generic 'say what you're supposed to say' drivers, but then eat it up when they do say what they're supposed to say.

This article, really, has absolutely nothing to do with Robby Gordon or RGM.

Its just Kvapil being comfortable in a race car after the time off. That's it. Who supplied the car is completely irrelevant. Seriously, just suppose he did it in a MWR car, and how people here would react to the story. Don't fool yourself, Kvapils comments would be cut and paste.
Ahhhh.... those were the days. When drivers used to be able to say what was on their mind and they didn't have a media hoopla to pounce on every word. When they could actually show their emotions on the track. When they could get out of the car and go after whoever just took 'em out. You just don't see brawls on pit road anymore. Pity. When it all became so politically correct, the sport also lost it's character. It's become so boring...

The article had nothing at all to do with RG or his equipment. But someone brought it up and I wasn't sure what she was implying by her post, so I threw in my 2 cents.
thats all it is, indeed.
it's no big deal, really.
If I remember correctly, during a TV interview at pocono, Kvapil said something about being impressed with RGM's cars.
