Kyle Busch Tests at Crandon for TORC Series Debut: Kyle Busch tested at Crandon International Off-Road Raceway earlier last week and impressed those in attendance. He shared the track with Rob MacCachren, the current PRO 2 points leader, and Jeff Kincaid, a winner last weekend in Bark River, and his fastest lap was only one-tenth of a second off the fastest time of the day. Busch will pilot a Traxxas-sponsored machine fielded by Mark Jenkins and Mike Jenkins, both of whom were at the test at the "Big House." Mike said the Las Vegas native and former NASCAR Nationwide Series champion started the day with no experience and ended it as an off-road racer. Busch and the rest of the TORC Series run Wednesday and Thursday at Route 66 Raceway. For tickets to the race, visit TORCSeries.com or Route66Raceway.com. Fans can also watch the races live at TORCSeries.comand later in the year when the race is aired on the Discovery HD Theater program, "The Off Road Championship," making its on-air debut Sept. 2.(TORC)(8-23-2010)

Sounds like a new DAKAR teammate? This would get big press.......
One TORC race does not make Kyle ready to be a Dakar competitor. He might very well be capable (probably is) but will need a ton more experience before he's ready for that.

It would get a lot of attention though, expecially if he pulls of the Cup championship this year.
I'd be all for Kyle running a RGM Hummer in the Dakar someday. That could be fun in many ways. Hell I'd be all for Kyle running a RGM TT in the Baja. Just bring some coin and it could probably be arranged.
Has it been determined... for sure... Robby is still driving a Hummer?
Well if not an RGM Hummer than an RGM (whatever is being driven)
Old news.
He would probably be a competitive partner for Dakar. He likes sand racing outside of Vegas; of all the cup drivers I think he would be interested some day in doing Dakar and could probably do well-especially once he gets the cup championship out of the way and JG's permission.
How's Kyle in working the machanics? He'd have to be able to turn a wrench, and know how to fix the car in the middle of nowhere to be competitive in Dakar. It's possible he could, I just don't know enough about his skills in that regard.
Me neither! Yes, he would definitely need to be good at that to have a chance.
Kyle's been wrenching since he was a kid. He works a lot on his own stuff.
Kyle's truck broke an axle early on, never really got going.
