Larry Carter is with the team now, and will assume the duties of Crew Chief. Iain Watt will still be with the team as an engineer.

He has quite a track record of success, was he with Paul Menard last year?

matt
this is a good thing.
Only if he uses is EARS to listen.
We was most recently the CC for Pauly Menard.
larry was also with the #2 car when rusty wallace was driving the car
This is a great thing!
good news
Still looking for the perfect match.
I'm speechless...

Even Frankie kerr and his "borrow a setup" mentality lasted longer than Ian. Oh well, Larry is actually a good crew chief, let's see how this turns out.
I'm guessing Iian was hired as an engineer, but only filled in as CC until the deal with Larry was done. Iian never had CC experience in Cup before, and Robby certainly isn't the right guy to do on-the-job-training with.
LOL, that make me laugh
If he was just a fill-in, why say "he's (Ian) ready to be a crew chief at this level" earlier in the year?

Robby is a talent, but this years comments have really wore at me. First likening the new plate cars to F1 cars, then claiming a shot at the pole, etc. Just tell it how it is, or keep to yourself.

That being said, I think Carter was a good addition. As with anything, time will tell. Lets not claim a shot at the chase because me have him though...
