Seriously Robby can beat all of the Go homers cars, easily. Now whether he will, is to be determined. But i can pick 5 cars Robby can beat with his eyes closed.
I agree TOG. Rain lets everyone we are battling with in the race. Better to outqualify them and send a c ouple home.
These were the fall 2009 Friday results for RG at Martinsville

FRIDAY , OCTOBER 23rd ( 2009 )

Practice -24th Quickest
Qualifying - 33rd Quickest

ALL SATURDAY EVENTS WERE WASHED OUT

Yes he was running pretty decent until his pit incident. Here is a post from Spotted Cow about it.

" It sounded like the yoke on the rear end or drive shaft broke. Everything wrapped up and something off the drive shaft flew up and hit the oil tank. Doug was calling out parts for replacement of the entire rear drive train (axles, rear gear, drive shaft) until they discovered the severity of the problem with the oil tank. "
Raindancers, the 10 day forecast for Martinsville has "showers" slated for Friday.
Hope they are big ones!!!!
Just wondering...there is probably no way in hell FRM had the foresight 13 days ago to put Gililand on the entry list in the 37....kudos I guess if they did...but if they change drivers for their cars is that not the equivalent of and considered a late entry??

I know if a car and driver are entered but then they try to put a Past Champion in a car instead after the 13 day deadline they cannot use the PCP

and we all know what happens to late entries...

If the entry blank is mailed and recieved on time [usually 13 days before the race date] the entry fee is $3,300 to enter a car in a NASCAR Sprtint Cup race. The fee is none-refundable. A late / post entry fee is $4,550 and the car owner nor the driver get any points.

worht looking into by RGMs legal staff...

or if anyone paid there $450 for the rulebook....lol
HA! just ask Mayfield...lol
WELL ROBBY WILL BE ABLE TO KNOCK OFF THE 90,87 AND 38 TO GET IN.
Looking at the Go or Go Homers, Robby has to out run 3 of them to make the race (unless qualifying gets rained out):

#90 Casey Mears (Running EGR motors and tends to qualify well at Martinsville (6th in the last Fall race)
#87 Joe Nemecheck (Gets support from RBR, qualified 28th in the last Martinsville race)
#66 Dave Blaney (Qualified 39th at the last Martinsville race)
#55 Michael McDowell (Qualified 42nd at the last Martinsville race in the #36 car)
#46 Terry Cook
#36 Mike Bliss (tends to do better at short tracks)
#35 Johnny Sauter (tends to do better at short tracks)
#26 Boris Said
#13 Max Papis
#09 Aric Almirola (Sterlin Marlin qualified 38th in the last Martinsville race in the #09 car)
#7 Robby Gordon (Qualified 33rd at the last Martinsville race)
Of the GGH neither Papis or Said ever raced in a Cup car at Martinsville. Said never raced there and Max only ran in a Truck series race there. He didn't do too bad in that race (Q- 18, F - 21) but then again, it wasn't a Cup car.

Terry Cook could be a threat if his car is good enough. He has raced at Martinsville quite a bit in the truck series and knows the track. Should be interesting.
