Who me? 4 La Rana and MDR desert racing Championships. I won 1 in Class 7 unlimited (thats unlimited mini truck) in 1994 (maybe 95) in a home made vehicle. We beat Fabtechs own factory made truck. Also, class 11 (yes bone stock) baja 1000 run in 1996 (I believe 96. it was the full peninsula run, mostly the co driver though).

Also, I raced in the very last La Rana Race and the very first MDR race. Besides that, I know nothing about racing.

Im not sure how thats relivant to anythingthough.
OK Ted and Timothy, are you done with your pissing contest now ? You are both racers, and each of you has a list of accomplishments, can you just let this go now ?

just referring to people who do not have an ounce of posotivity in them.. and everything is completely negative.
FI is very interesting as it needs an ECM... Didn't the F1 brass just announce that the teams are now prohibited from making program modifications to their on board ECM's after qualifing. Will NASCAR change their rules so all races are now impounds so no one can change the FI program after the cars qualify?
The ECM can be back doored with out any hand prints. A major inside engine player shared with me 6 mos. ago that the ECM can be tricked with out evidence.

Instead of NWO.............NA$CAR world order.........in the end it's about "control & $$$$$$$".
NASCAR should handle ECMs just like restrictor plates. NASCAR installs all ECMs at the track. They should be manufactured so they can't be modified by the teams.
I have a feeling that the Computers are gonna be handled the same way the ASA did when they ran FI on their National Tour before a bad TV deal killed the series. You pickup your box before the on-track session and at the end of said session you turn it in, the box you pick is random so even if you do try to hack into it there is almost a 99% chance that you won't get the same one for the following session. I believe the ASA also reflashed them back to stock after each session just to try and eliminate any problems.
We are talking Na$crap.Who said anything about fair.I do enjoy your optimism. Side note on the ASA National series. It was very much a 'spec' series. One center section supplier (HOWE) one engine (GM) ect.Chassis builders attached front and rear clips (the part of the chassis the suspension is mounted to).It would have been interesting to see how the series would have weather'd the BigBarSoftSpring thing.
Really? They should go be talking to the F1 guys then (because God knows for as much money as Hendrick spends, its a drop in the bucket compared to Ferrari, McLaren, RedBull, Mercedes). McLaren electronics is building the Spec ECM for both NASCAR and F1, so I'm sure they've got some of the same inherent security on locking stuff down.
