It will be super difficult for him to be competitive in Nascar. Its a big team game. Waste of money and circle racing is just mind numbing.

Yes, you are right and that is why Robby does better on road tracks, like The Glen and Sonoma

with that being said,when the COT was introduced it all but eliminated the mechanical advantage Robby had on road course's.Making equipment more equal,leaving Robby with the only advantage being his talent.And all the disadvantages of being a single car team.

Having relived the 08 COT season in some depth. RG did very well in the first 1/4 of the 1st COT season. Then the Everham debacle all but killed the 2nd half. It was ketchup from then on and I think he ended up with catsup and Ray ended up with Erin..

I'm sure Maranello it Makes a lot more sense to DNF in a corn field or on a dirt road... I'd much rather watch Robby on a National Broadcast racing that watching a dot on a computer asking "anybody know if RG made it to marker 4 yet?" "My tracker must not be working right? Anybody know where Robby is?".... You have your idea of racing I have mine! You dirt dobbers are freakin ridiculous!

As opposed to driving in a fricken circle for hours ?
Oh look a left turn , and another left turn , what's next you guessed it ANOTHER LEFT TURN . Then of course if that ain't bad enough then let's let everyone have a shot at a championship whether they've earned it or not . Then if we haven't screwed it up enough lets try to dumb down the sport so much that it becomes so boring and vanilla that we drive away whatever knowledgable fans we had .

At least while RG is turning left I can freakin see his car and actually watch him pass somebody!!! You just keep watching the dots wondering if he even made it to the next checkpoint. Other than NASCAR I like the SST (you can actually watch it on the huge 70"flat thing on my wall...a TV....and get this I can see him pass somebody. I promise you I don't have to wonder if he made to turn 4 yet

@MJ, If memory serves, I remember you going to the All Star race then going to the hall of fame being super pumped too.....wasn't that you and your Mom?
