No denying it was a sharp looking racecar but then again all Robby's race vehicles are always that way .

It's not just you, that thing has the same effect as the little blue pill! I really like that car.

It's getting a little HOT in this room, somebody turn on the air conditioner on and cool this place down . Too close to the sun.

I agree! Boy is it getting hot! One thing all can agree on is that we love to see Robby race and the more the better. Robby now has his SST and there is only so much time and money for other events. We all know he is smart and will pick and do whatever makes the most sense for him now and for the future. Go Robby!!

Everybody who wants to see RG race anything buy a case of Speed Energy. The better his business does the more flexibility he will have to run races.

@Zoom I recognize your passion, but realize this: Robby is the face of off-road racing. Even the casual racing fan who doesn't even follow off road knows that. In Nascar, Robby was never anything but a small fish in a big pond irregardless of how well he did because he never did, and never will, have the Nascar marketing machine behind him. Why is that you say? The very reason many of us are fans: He always spoke his mind, never backed down, and wouldn't lick the boots of the sanctioning body. He made waves in that big pond, to the chagrin of those who couldn't handle the truth. Nascar to me is nothing but a weekly parade now, and the rules benefitted those whom ponied up the bucks. You make Nascar money, they make sure you run up front. It's a sham. The very rule changes that you say would benefit RGM are the same that if they had applied them to the 2013 season would have allowed Dale Jr to be the champ. Coincidence? I think not. Robby has started his own venture, and its rules are fair and they don't exclude anybody. Running off-road events like Parker and Baja are important to create hype for SST. Nascar would never allow Robby to put SST on the side of his car because its a competing series and a threat to their racing monopoly.

I ramble. Here's a solution. Buy the winning powerball ticket and send Robby a check ear-marked for use of funds for Nascar only. I am sure he would be happy to oblige. Bet he would even let you design the scheme for the car. Until then, I would suggest stop insulting those of us whom support his current ventures. It's very contradictory to your claim of being a "fan of Robby" and most unbecoming of you.

and that was unfair.

On to Daytona
@Kevin....I'm not bashing the current ventures, but get tired of the NASCAR haters who only see it through dirt goggles. I disagree with your "new rules" assessment. Robby was the one the stated many times he wish they would change qualifying to...the new format! Robby also didn't like the points racing style and wanted more emphasis on winning. The new changes are exactly what Robby voiced he wish NASCAR would change. The only big change Robby wished that they dont do was franchising teams.
Dale Jr only would have won based on the elimination rounds. His points would have placed him in last year but not if there was 16 winners.
With the new qualifying procedures it allows teams to go after it, especially at roadies. How many times did Robby say I had to be conservative with only 1 lap, had to make the race first. New procedures would allow him to go balls to the wall and get a top 5 starting spot and go after a win.

+1 IMO the new rules made the racing too close (.5 second from 1st to 25th in qualifying). Some say it's boring. I love RGs dirt endeavors, but boring is watching dots....sorry, but that doesn't do it for me! I just want to SEE Robby Gordon!! NASCAR, SST or any race I can SEE......thanks for reading....

Dave I forget your location but if possible come out too the desert it's a kick in the ass especially if you enjoy camping. A group of friends an extremely wide variety of race cars and almost unparalleled access to the drivers and cars, it's a lot of fun.

I'm not a NASCAR hater but I do hate what NASCAR has become.

+1
