What's the deal with Nascar and Carl Edwards? They are certainly taking there time with Edwards and his punishment. (Which he should get). If that had have been Robby spinning BK, they would have had him behind bars before the grandstands were cleaned up. It's such bullsh*t. Carl went too far this time. He should be parked on Sunday. Just like they did to Robby and Kevin Harvick.

Personally, I think this "wrecking each other" stuff is getting unprofessional and staining the sport. I'm a huge fan of "rubbin' is racing" so I have no problem with what Kes did 1 lap before Carl punted him on the the straight-away. Carl should have re-paid Kes with a rub, not a punt. Nasacr should penalize Carl.......or let Kes punt Carl on the first staright-away on the next race..... a la Hockey. "Have at it" means settle it between you two.....not crash half the field trying to get back at the other guy. I guess that is it my big problem with what is goin' on. Maybe Nascar should say "use your head while having at it. Apparent retailation that takes out other cars will result in your DQ in that race, period. So be careful if you decide to to 'have at it'." Maybe we'll see these drivers use a "velvet glove over their iron fist" and display their skill to "move" each other on the track. On the flip-side-of-the-coin, Kes needs to realize that if he decides to live-by-the-sword he will also die-by-the-sword......expect to be moved.
would anybody be talking about this race if this incident did not happen? probably not.so nascar wants attention and this is one way to get peoples attention.it builds drama for people to tune in next week to see what will happen. this is what put nascar on the map in the 1st place so once they realize that this is what casual nascar fans want to see they will allow this type of driving.the cars are extremely safe today and just about any wreck a driver walks away from with little to no injuries can not say the same about football.so i feel "have at it boys" is here to stay.
The lesson is simple: It is fine to kill someone on the track, but don't show NASCAR up. That's how Robby and Harvick both got parked. Odd message, but that's what they are saying. Have at it.

I also think people are overestimating Edwards' popularity. I don't know anyone who likes that guy. Roush has a bunch of boring duds right now, if you ask me.
NASCAR will announce at 4:00 that Carl will be fined, points deducted and probation. Brad will also get probation. Dean Wormer has been hard at work.
Here it is: Carl Edwards docked 60 points and fined $25,000. Carl & Brad Keselowski put on probation through end of year.
I"m thinking on top of a fine Carl should be drug tested. He has rage issues for sure, but also looks like he's been partaking of performance enhancing drugs which would cause the same schitzo pattern. That was my first thought when I saw his post race interview. The guy looks doped.
All with a "hard card" are subject to random drug testing. Carl is not exempt.
Shouldn't they or don't they already drug test everyone that gets wrecked anyways to see if they are under some type of influence that my have dampened there breaking and the control ability of there cars?
I want to say that's fair but is it really that hard for NASCAR to suspend Carl for atleast one race? I mean really, if anything that is what would get the message across, probation doesn't mean crap and neither do fines. These guys make millions. If NASCAR really wants to lay down a punishment, hit them were it hurts the most, take him out for a race.
Not Gonna Happen.

Aflac - Big commercial buyer during NASCAR race broadcasts - next race, count 'em.
true...but doesn't mean some1 else wouldn't be in the 99 Aflac car.
yeah that's what I was thinking, the driver gets suspended not the car.
