I think they got it right this year more so than any other year before it.....
I just wish the OFF ROAD HALL OF FAME got half the press coverage as the damn NASCAR one does
I wish the Nascar Hall of fame got half the coverage that the NFL, NBA, and MLB gets.
You forgot the NHL hell it's almost summer and they're still playing hockey
I think the choices are pretty good. It is tough to take Glen Wood without Leonard Wood though. In a way they seem like a pair. Also I would have liked to have seen DW wait one more year. Mostly because of the poor attitude and professionalism he showed last year when he was not nominated. He was so confident he was in the 2nd class, and when announced he did not make the 2nd class he had some choice words. So for that I would have liked him to wait one more year. A course on the radio today he said he is not glad he did not make the second class as he feels this year is more sweet after not getting in last year.
Think DW going in this year is good but think Cale should've been put in last year with Bobby Allison
I agree, Cale should have been in last year easy. I just hope Nascar doesn't let politics ruin something good. I've always
thought that they should have inducted 10 for the first 5 years, one group from the pioneers era and one group from the
modern era,
I think anyone still active in the sport, whether it's competetive or in a promotional or broadcast role, should not be elligebile. There are a LOT of HOF-worthy candidates who are no longer with us, or are no longer out there to shill for themselves who should be placed first. Curtis Turner, Joe Weatherly, the Flock brothers, etc.

DW does deserve to be in the Hall eventually, but there are others who should be there first, IMO.
I'm with you Alan, if they're still active, there still active,HOF is for the remembrance of the past'd or retired.IMO. I have a mentor that will be in the WSMCHOF if he ever retires, but he has been declared deceased!
Great point but that also means Richard Petty would'nt be in
So be it. There's hundreds of drivers, crew chiefs, owners and innovators who should be considered before the active players make the list.
Alan is right.....to many are going in that are still active. What about all the guys that started this racing 65 years ago..........where are there names. Nascar is trying to make it to much of a feel good story, they are just lost sometimes...lol
