In a recent "spoiler test" for the 2010 season. The guys allowed to conduct the test were Kurt Busch (Dodge), Tony Stewart (Chevy), Greg Biffle (Ford) and Brian Vickers (Toyota). Again, allowing more notes, test time and advantage to Chase contenders.
Nascar needs to make it fair. This isn't just a cry for our guy Robby Gordon, but what about the other teams? Tony Stewart was involved in about every test session last season. Every team needs to be trated fairly. These are suppose to be the best drivers in the world. I can remember when drivers like Dave Marcis did most of the testing.
Hire someone retired like Ricky Rudd, or allow only Nationwide & Camping World drivers that aren't full time to conduct tests. Use the Rookie status, allow only drivers that have run less than 7 Cup races to participate. I really don't care what criteria Nascar uses, but quit letting Chase drivers conduct every test!
The disadvantages are getting larger. Nascar needs to create a format for ALL testing that makes it equal. Require tests to run all manufactures, can use only 1 Chase driver, 1 Top 20 driver (outside The Chase), 1- Top 35 driver and 1 outside the Top 35. Just something on a level palying field!
