doesnt make sense to me why robby isnt doing the nationwide race at the glen, how could a sponser not pick him up there? He allways gets plenty of coverage!
Sponsorship would be great but this point it's past that as in the cars we have are for Canada....I guess.
there more questions than answers especially if you don't like the ones we already have.
This subject was beat to death last week, so for those that don't drop in often. Here are the highlights in my memory.
RGM only has ONE NW road race car.If that car was damaged and/or maintenance turn around time interfere with the Montreal NW race.
WG NW race was unfunded, and even if Robby won the race it would NOT pay as much as 'short racing' a CUP race.
Montreal NW race is funded, MAPEI is the advertising partner for this event.
And yes RGM only wanted to send one hauler from NC to upstate NY carrying the 7 and 07.Both CUP cars are self funded.
After Pocono, with PJ damaging the primary car.The guys in the shop will be plenty busy fixing already damaged oval cars.
This is the same question I ask'd last week. Are all NW cars created equal, all equal in performance? Why drive someone else's piece that is not up to RGM road race standard? Again, winning the NW race pay's less than starting a CUP race and thats if whom'ever pays Robby 100% of the purse!
What Toyota NW team has a RGM RR quality car available with an open seat?
Beg Rusty Wallace or Michael Waltrip to toss in another car. He could win in that. Obviously isn't and wouldn't happen, but still would be winning RR cars in my opinion.
I agree completely with you. But keep in mind, Robby had PJ driving at Pocono so that he could test for the glenn. I think Robby is 100% focused on winning the cup race, and dosen't want the distraction of the nationwide deal. just a thought.
