The only RG Dakar car I have ever come across is the Minichamps 1/43 VW Touareg - Dakar 2005 - #317. I have a friend who usually makes Star Wars customs and he said that making a H3 Monster Hummer would be easy paintwise, but I cannot find him a plain H3 to customize. I have found R/C H3's, but the body style is too far off as well as the tires. So would I want to commission him to make a Hummer with the right paint scheme but everything else wrong? I think making the TT Chevy C/K 1500 would almost be easier...
I've had this convo with Rob before. Rob actually got lil kid excited about the idea of a nitro r/c. As I recall he said he's had diff ideas floating around for a while. Last I heard was something was supposed to be in the works after the CER last year for a scale H3. Prolly just a die-cast, but that'd still be sweet. I don't see why this can't happen now, being all RG's Monster exposure in Europe,& S. America. Not to mention, there will allegedly be 3-4 H3's in the 2010 Dakar. Let's make it happen already Rob! I still would prefer the nitro r/c....you know something that can sling dirt like the real deal
Well, the other day I went to a diecast and stlot car store here in Lisbon, looking for an american type off-road car or truck, and the guy at the store told me there was a Robby Gordon Hummer from some slot car company, but he already had sold it. I was kind of sceptic about it but I went on the web trying to find this Hummer...
... It's not the H3, it's the crew cars, but at least is something.
