If you could go back any time in the last 10 years what Nascar/sprint cup race would you love to have been in the drivers seat for? Why?

montreal...i know it was a nationwide race....but seriously....to be in the passenger seat during that whole debacle would have been classic!
I am drawing a blank as to it was driveing but I believe it was Vegas a few years back with, (Don't quote me.) I'm thinking it was kurt Bush & Ricky Rudd (The tide car?) bouncing off each other heading to the finish line.
the last 5 laps of that race was epic. darlington has the best racing of any track
Thanks, I had 1 out 3 does that get me at least a 1/2 point?
probably the 2007 Daytona 500...crazy race...followed by the 2004 season finale at Homestead.
I know this topic is for Sprint Cup Series races, but I am still picking the 2006 Watkins Glen Busch Series race. The last 2 laps between Robby Gordon and Kurt Busch was some of the most exciting racing I have ever seen NASCAR produce. Sorry to be a tad off topic, but that was a great race and amazing finish!
hell yeah
Agreed, you guys nailed them.....the Darlington Craven/Bush battle was the 1st one that came to mind, but the Earnhardt Daytona victory was also top drawer material. Let's not forget the race with the Allison/Yarborough fight! All of these epoch NASCAR moments........(notice we can't name a recent race...Thanks NASCAR for neutering the sport)

I'm also a huge fan of the the Robby/Marcos battle at Montreal. That race made me a proud RG fan that day. I also remember the RGM near win at Watkins Glenn in the 31 Lowes car....when his day was cut short with the camera fire...Robby was schooling them all bad that day! good memories!

Anybody remember the race when POS punted Robby on the staright away. RGs car was destroyed...He called out on the radio notifying NASCAR that he was about to show everyone what retaliation looks like......and then attempted to ram his completely destoyed and immobile car into POS as he drove by on the insuing caution lap..... That is why I'm a Robby fan!

Go Robby! you are full of piss and vinegar and I like that...it's good for the sport.

(please, If I upset anyone, I'm sorry. It wasn't meant to be personal... I don't need a lecture about intentional retaliation.....I just respect Robby for sticking up for himself....for the fire in in is belly! it is the same fire that ocassionally is his undoing)
you had me at "piss and vinegar."
I would have loved to have been a passenger in Dale's car when he won the Oct. 2000 Talladega (Winston 500). It was such an exciting finish to watch as a fan. Could you even begin to imagine what it would have been like to have been in the car with him?
In the driver's seat? Easy, 2008 Brickyard 400. I know I would have finished on the lead lap :)
