Remember the old days at the road cources when Robby would pass 10 cars on the first lap and 1 car per lap until he was in first? (sighs)
@Ted, are you saying that Robby didn't qualify at the top of the board back in the day?The COT has all but eliminated any chassis innovations.IMO
Heck no, Im saying when he did start in mid or rear pack, watching him gain positions was like watching Picasso.
yeah...fanned 5 wide heading into turn 1 passing 10.....good stuff....
i see RGM only doing the big races the rest of the season it's been a hell of a ride on to DAKAR.
Negative - RGM will have the 7 at every track. Robby will only run races he wants or feels he needs to run. He will be promoting SPEED the rest of the time. If RGM can qualify at Pocono and gain some points back he should have no problem getting back in the Top 35 if he avoids any issues at WG.

Montreal & Watkins Glen coming up!!! Those wanting to jump back on the bandwagon...to the rear!!!!
Expect 6 or 7 cars to S&P this weekend, meaning the 71 team would likely finish no worse than 36th. (They finished 32nd at the first Pocono race, due to McMurray, Edwards & Ambrose having issues. They were -6 laps down.) The team is likely to finish in the 32nd - 36th range. Which means Robby would have to finish in the 20th - 25th range to retake the 35th Owner's Points position. Leading a lap will be helpful.

Robby needs to finish 11 positions better than the 71 or 10 positions better and lead a lap (if the 71 doesn't lead a lap).
