She has a ride. Next...
She wouldn't do any better than Conway in the car. She is getting lapped in Hendrick Motor Sports cars in 20 laps at Nationwide races....

You may as well say that Ricky Carmichael has sponsorship money, he does and looks like he will be in Nationwide next year. Convince Monster to throw the money to RGM and put Ricky in the car. But he isn't much faster, and would just spin the car every 50 laps.

So like so many others it's no longer an issue of talent, it's just about sponsorship. That's it. Something that Robby Gordon fans have railed against for years. That talent is what should matter, but now we're supposed to do a 180 and say to hell with talent, all we want is a check to clear.

Cheering for Conway, who is a ride buyer, at this point is the antithesis of everything most Robby Gordon fans have ever believed. If all we're supposed to care about now is a ride buyer with a check that clears, I'll take Milka "funbags" Duno. Just as hopeless during the race but she can be entertaining.

Oh well.
I was wondering the same thing...where did the Dover 2 thread go? Very good comments.
I dont think the #71 is going the distance in all the remaining races in 2010. I think they are in a few, but the #7 should pass them very soon.
By gaining 3 points per race?
Robby is driving #7 at Texas & Phoenix. Kevin is driving at Kansas & California ( full races ) . Going to be more than 3 points per race on the #71.
The Conway bashing is funny..especially when it's coming from uneducated fans. What did KC and RGM have to gain by running fast laps yesterday?? KC knew they were pitting in the garage and keeping the car in 1 piece was the #1 agenda, so let the kid have a full race and see what happens...to base anything off the S&P races is just idiotic. If you are a fan of RG you are also a fan of RGM, so either support what is going on or find a new driver. They went into that race knowing they were going to be slow. If Robby ran the car yesterday with a S&P agenda they would have finished in the same spot. He will beat the 34, 37, and 38 at Kansas...and at this point, that's enough for me.
I totally disagree with the 'If you are a fan of RG you are also a fan of RGM' comment. I am a huge RG fan...I will follow him in whatever he drives. However, I am not near of a fan of RGM. Yes, RGM allows RG to do some other things besides Nascar, which I do enjoy, but RGM does not give him a chance to race for wins in Nascar on a weekly basis as when he was racing for Childress or possibly someone else, and THAT is what I'd like to see...a chance to win. Just a glimer of hope. At this point, RG only has a remote chance of winning six races a year and even those races seem to be getting further from his grasp.

While I hope the #7 car does fine on Sundays when someone other than RG is driving it, it's end result only interests me if it keeps RG in the top 35 thus guaranteeing his entry into next year's first 5 races.
That is where you and Robby differ. You just want him to win in NASCAR, he wants to win in multiple outlets.
@DefLefty, how many 41yo's have rides they get paid to drive! (name names it's ok)
Like Scott, I've believe Robby just loves pushing the LOUD pedal, any LOUD pedal. And the only way to do that is be his own employer. IMO
Conway is not a "kid" by the way
He is when it comes to Cup racing.
