As far as the top 35, in my opinion the #7 is running the entire season until the hauler does not show up on a Friday. My guess (maybe hoping) that Sam Hornish will be in the #7 at sometime with Penske Trucking as the sponsor. After all of his hard work, I would hate to see the #7 not run a full season.
I guess what makes me shake my head, is the bad luck this year. If you look at years past, RG had some good finishes in the first five races that put him in the top 35 pretty much for the year. This year not so much. The way I look at it, if he can't stay in the top 35, then lets be honest maybe he should go focus on something else. Still a RG fan, but come on it's hard to see the glass as half full and not half empty right now.
Nascar is where the money is at to pay the bills for the rest... Sell more cases (Speed Energy) race more races! Have to think RG is selling alot of cases with more races being added... also have to think RG isn't throwing in the towel on the season, he mentions points alot including during the race while fighting for each position.

Agree on the bad luck. Top 10 was almost for sure at Daytona until he got spun. Tire issues have been a thorn and today was just bad day for Dodge all together. Good thing is Dodge will get that fixed. RG could easily be sitting in the Top 20 if bad luck would stay away.
To run all day with the additional expense for fuel and tires and only make $1,000 more than a start & park doesn't tell me NASCAR is where the money is.

The money is in selling more product.
Sell more speed !!!!
Big picture, for the next few years. Sell as much SPEEDENERGY as possible. Sell in as many places as possible. Whenever possible period!!! . I as a fan am just happy to see the car come home in one piece. IMO
You make your own luck = running out of gas for the second time this year...
ethanol = less mpg; team needs to revisit fuel calculations and not let this happen again. This is not bad luck-need to learn from these mistakes and make the needed corrections. This team is too good for these dumb things to happen.
Need to get that fuel mileage figured out by mid June at the latest!
in the 31 he was competitive. enough said
not in 2004
Not true.... Rg had fast cars and good runs in 2004 but no luck
