I get to go to the Phoenix race in April. I need to know what my Robby experts think the best section is to view the race from: Petty, Bryan, Foyt, Allison or Sect. 3-5. You guys gave me great suggestions when I went to Daytona last year. So I need your advice. Need to see the entire track and not from the hillside or from an RV, but from the stands. So let me have your expert opinions.

Petty Grandstand section RR has been good to me about halfway up
Hillside is the cheap seats and the best.Bring your own lawn chair and ice chest. You won't be crammed in like a sardine and if you are creative you can smuggle in your own beer!
What he said
Yup....
You have to smuggle in beer? NHMS lets you carry in as much beer as you want - just no glass containers.
Get the VIP treatment from the Robby Gordon camp. Courtesy of RGM and Rob Harris me and few friends were invited to view the races from the top of Robbys custom made motor-home, as well as the inside with the TV's, the headsets and then of course in the chairs right up against the track. He usually camps out near the SouthEast Corner of the track.

Robby was the ultimate gentleman, giving much attention to his fans and the kids that were there. He signed autographs, gave away hats and shirts, there was free drinks and food both Saturday and Sunday courtesy of Harrahs' an Jim Beam. We talked about his racing at the MTGP at Sun Devil Stadium, Baja and all of the good stuff. This was a once in a lifetime experience that my wife and I enjoyed. Robby is the coolest, smartest and hardest working, racer or owner there is. I think and surely hope Nascar will start paying him some respect this year.

Anyway, since BobbyChuck isn't involved anymore- maybe TOG can hook you up with the best seats at PIR and those can be found at Camp RGM! Good luck!

thats a bit out of my jurisdiction, but I can help hook em up with the goods at Dover...lol..
I will take the hook ups at Dover.
Get above row 30 to see the track, my reserve seats are row 42 and they are good. No bench backs in Petty so immediately grab one of the orange seat back from the rentals..its worth every dollar and stops the people encroaching on your seat number on the bench. Allison is the best if you are sun sensitive, because it backs to the west and has the most shade. Petty is the best for race action coming off turn four heading to the checkers. There are built in seat backs in Bryan Grandstands. The rows are 50 seats long so if you get stuck in the middle of a row it is miserable in my opinon, I have to be in the first 10 seats or so from the isle. I personally would want to be 35 rows up and close to the isle anywhere along Petty all the way to Allison, so I use that as my rule. I would rather not be looking at pit row and meet my criteria versus seats in the Bryan Grandstands that are low and buried deep in the isle.

This is the first year in 8 years I haven't renewed, but I actually think I just got something sent to me that my seats are still availble .. Petty Row 42 seats 3-8 (5 total)... I am going to Bristol and cant afford both races... If you are having problems landing what you want I could call and see if they are still availble and we could work it out... Obviously with you just paying face value to PIR under my renewals type deal..
.....I still owe you one....
LOL! You know me so well! Although I will be bringing my beer loving husband, he likes them cold and his restrooms close.

Thanks!
I've sat on all different sides of the track, and my favorite was Turn 1. Not sure which grandstand it was, but the view was great, and the seats were placed a little farther apart.
