We know RG will have a Penske motor...what about PJ? Will he have a Penkse motor or RGM?
I would bet Penske since it is RG's backup car. FWIW if I were Robby I would sandbag in Practice #1 so the 7 could Q before the 77. That way if Robby kills the 7 somehow (think taking out the brake ducts at Montreal during Q run) PJ can withdraw and save the 77 for the 7's backup
I doubt the 77 has a top shelf Penske engine...
actually it does..keep in mind it is the backup for the #7....
I think RG shoulda went with a black car or a pink car. Going to be cool seeing RGM competitive again. Can't wait.
I think you are dreaming that the 38 and the 71 won't make the race as they are both excellent road racers.
just hoping... Not stating anything about their abilities, but remember Scott Speed, an excellent road racer himself, choked in 09 in the last turns and missed the show locking PJ in.
I wouldn't say Speed is an excellent road racer...especially in a stock car...
Kimi was suppose to be a good road racer , stock cars didn't work to well for him either.
I think Kimi is also an excellent road racer, be he too has a learning curve.

Lally has been in stockers for awhile and Tony Ave is last years Trans-Am champ. He also has some time in stockers already. They both will do fine at Sonoma
cut Kimi a break, he made one mistake. he was very impressive in his truck and nationwide debut.
Road racing a proper road racer is one thing and road racing a 'CUP' is something very different. Lally has been in the seat all year-no problem,Ave has been in a COT before.
It's Drissi with no stock car experience and the 37's equipment.(not know for good rr equipment)
