Please say a Prayer to our dear friend Bob Steinburger AKA The Weatherman!!!

The Weatherman AKA Bob Steinburger as I write this is undergoing Heart Surgery in Phoenix for a torn Aorta, I know many of you on Planet Robby know the Weatherman. I have been lucky enough to been able to help him with the weatherman relay for the last few years and pick his brain from time to time and learn about radios and the off road community. He has been a great mentor to me and taught me a lot over the years. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks! Bob O.

Update....From Scott (Weatherboy) The Doctors say patience, too bad I don't have much of that! Sitting around waiting for my Dad to wake up and every time he starts to move around they hit him with more meds. They say he needs rest, but two times they have tried to slow down the ventilator and get him breathing on his own with no luck. He is retaining to many fluids and they are giving him dieretics to get rid of the excess. I do not know what to think, I am sick to my stomach, tired, and need to see my wife and kids. Tomorrow I will fly home for a couple days and let Shar watch over him. I hate hospitals even though everyone here has been nice. Weatherman, Weatherman do you have a copy???

Another update from Scott this afternoon; Heading to the airport and things are looking up, they are removing the central line and have him down to 50% oxygen and are putting in a feeding tube. The Nurse says he is doing much better today and they will pull the ventilator tube and have him breathing on his own in the morning. I am leaving Shar in charge and the Weatherman is lucky to have her, I have an awesome new Mom. Everyone thank you for your thoughts and have a Happy Hollidays!
