Two employees of Frontier Powersports spent last weekend at the Daytona 500 after the dealership received top honors from Polaris.
Butch Zitzow is Frontier’s service manager and a mechanic on Polaris equipment since 2001. Polaris identified 36 dealerships nationwide with the most outstanding growth and sales, Zitzow said, and Frontier was one of them.
“In Minnesota we’re in the top five (dealerships) for vehicle sales,” he said.
As part of the award, Polaris sent two people from each honored dealership to last week’s Daytona 500. Zitzow and salesman Kent Scheel represented Frontier, traveling to Florida Feb. 14-16. They received a police escort to the race track, spent time in the Polaris hospitality tent and met drivers Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart.
“It was awesome, it was incredible,” Scheel said.
It was a good trip, Zitzow said, even if he’s new to NASCAR.
“It’s the first race I’ve been to and I’ve probably watched two on TV,” he said.
