Does anybody know what race scanners cost trackside? Has anyone rented them online with one of the outfitters ships them to you instead of waiting until race day? I have my own scanner but I have some guests coming to the phoenix race and I need to get set up on a couple extra scanners...

I looked at on-line prices, and then at at-track prices, and I got a good at-track "special" from Track-Scan for a scanner and two-headphones which allow us to both listen to the scanner, and talk person-to-person.
If you have time... look on Ebay... some deals to be had there.
Go to www.raceceiver.com a really cool scanner and small and light that u can put in pocket. i have one for years now it is great.
I forgot to mention that one of the reasons that I went for the Track Scan unit was their ability to automatically program the scanner. All I have to do is get within 150' of their trailer at the track, and push a few buttons, and my scanner is all reprogramed with the most current frequency information.
