"I don't know who was behind me," Ragan said outside the care center. "I think it was [Gordon], but he wasn't really paying attention and just drove into the back of us and kind of made a mess. It's just a typical deal here at Daytona and Talladega. When someone gets checked up usually two or three rows back someone doesn't see it."

Yeah....I think if you can't run first.....you want to run last........

Although I think with about 40 laps to go..is go time.......there is no doubt in my mind this race finishes under Green/white/checkered.........The last 40 laps is going to be restart after restart...if you aren't up front I'm not sure there will be much racing time to get there......

It didn't look to me like Robby even hit The Dart (Ragan) that hard. If the little wimp had any car control at all, nothing would've happened. I mean, Hamlin was sideways in the middle of the pack, right in front of the 88 - and no wreck. All of the cars were a handful all night...to me, it showed who can handle them & who can't (Jimmie, Mears, & Stremme, anyone?).
Oh, and the yellow car that started it? The 18. This is why the guys in the tv booth (off camera) call him "WMD".
Are you honestly suggesting Jimmie Johnson can't drive? I'm frustrated with Robby's finish too, but come on.
JJ was all over the place last night..
Everyone was, but I wouldn't lump Johnson in the group of drivers to not trust their car control abilities.
To be fair, Johnson single-handedly wrecked half the (remaining) field.
From the replay it looks like Kyle & AJ got into each other and then caused a stack up behind them, the #48 & #17 must have nailed the brakes, then the #6 braked hard and sent the nose to the pavement...that's when the Beam Machine tapped the #6 in the tail. Then they all scattered and parts went flying...
David Ragan is a twit. Of course Robby didn't see what was three rows in front of him. He doesn't have x-ray vision like superman. How stupid is Ragan. Stewart was right about him three years ago, he's dart without feathers.
I don't know that anyone was "at fault", per se. BUT as far as Ragan is concerned, the only contact with him was Robby getting into the back of him so I can understand where he's coming from
They interviewed Robby on SPEED REPORT (yes, they really did!) and he said he had just gotten a helluva run going when Ragan checked up and he didn't have time to get to the brakes. Can't really call that a mistake.
I have a simple idea for David Ragan or any others to avoid being hit from behind in the future, drive faster.
I don't know if I just missed anyone mentioning it, but I was listening on xm radio last night and they interviewed Robby after the wreck. He took responsibility for the wreck, said he misjudged the closing rate. After seeing it, I don't think it was really his fault but thought it was cool that he still took the responsibility for it.
