TMS is giving Robby crap about promoting Speed Energy at thier track. They towed the show car, and forced RGM to remove all of the Speed Energy from the track - no free samples can be given away. They're citing the tracks Red Bull sponsorship as the reason. More exclusivity bullshyte.

We need to let TMS know that they are alienating fans. They have a twitter account that someone follows, so let's blast them. If you have a twitter account, use it, if you don't, go sign up for one.

Send tweets to @TXMotorSpeedway expressing your displeasure. Mention @RobbyGordon and @SpeedEnergy and include the hashtag #RallyForRobby.

Let's do this!

Everybody needs to go add comments and posts to the TMS Facebook page and promote Robby Gordon and Speed Energy
can't argue that point REO.....
I'm with Peter as well. I just don't buy it...
If RGM is being accused of "Marketing ambush" it must be something new to their policies. Remember, RGM promoted Monster & Red Bull before, so they know what they're doing. If RGM is being blocked to promote it would have to be something new at the tracks.
Any chance that Monster or Red Bull took care of some of the behind the scenes stuff such as securing permits or getting the proper clearance? I know that Robby is pretty hands on with all aspects of his business, but is there any chance that something was legitimately overlooked?

As a side note, I know these types of venues can be very picky about what you sell/promote. I'm actively involved with the drum & bugle corps activity as well as the marching band activity. Both hold their national/world championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy. There are certain things that we're not allowed to sell or give away at our souvenir booth because they're already available through the stadium concessions OR conflict with products that they sell. In other words, these types of policies are not new and pretty much affect anyone looking to promote/sell items inside of a sporting venue.
This is the first SMI track that Robby has had blatant problems with. Something about this whole deal doesn't smell right IMO
Only in Texas
