First off..BAM has sponsorship for their 36 races with Warner Music Nashville...basically they are paying BAM to hawk or push whatever country music or nashville country star they want..starting with Larry the Cable Guy at the Daytona 500...lol... so the #49 is running all 36 from what I can tell..

Thus hopefully the money RGM gets for suplying the cars, etc, (obviously not all of it is profit), helps keep them in the black as they continue the search for sponsors throughout 2010. SO if early on we're sponsorless on the hood, I would imagine the $$ from this alliance is footing the bill....
not necessarily....BAM has sponsorship..but the money they pay RGM for cars/support etc shoud help cover costs as RGM searches for more sponsors...I would think....but if the #49 runs well and this whole Warner Music Nashville synergy fan VIP thing takes off...perhaps some sloppy sponsor seconds can fall our way!
Two great things happen with this. RG gets to build more cars. And RG gets to keep and hire more talent.

Perk: Twice as many tires to match up at the track.
and twice as much information at the track..as they are HIS cars...so any inofrmation shared should be very beneficial...as opposed to another toyota team giving info...yeah it may help but if the cars are built differently...not so much..

and yeah..the #49 goes out early..thats a lot of tires for us! lol
Wow, I am shocked by this but as others have pointed out hopefully in the bigger picture this enables RGM to run a full season. Regardless of what Rob races I will always be a fan...I mean hell I am a Kansas City Chiefs fan, my suffering has been on going for quite sometime..at least I view this as a positive...LOL. Daytona can't come soon enough. Now of course as we all know it will be a cold day in hell when Rob gives up control of his team , oh wait where I am right now it is 2 degrees, the drama starts early. Being a 7 fan is never boring,Good luck RG
KC Chiefs and RG fan here too haha Painful ain't it?

As for the BAM alliance, seems interesting. With BAM having a 36 race sponsor, focus can be towards filling RG's open races. It will be fun to watch it all unfold..
From what I read, sounds like they are going to use the owner points to lock in the first races.
Does this mean Larry the Cable Guy or some other country thingy on RG's car or is he going to have to race his way in and let BAM use his owner's points?

aaaa, it's DAKAR month - put this thread on ice until after the last stage!!!!!!
????????

BAM Racing announced today that they have formed an alliance with Robby Gordon Motorsports, who will provide technical support, race cars, and personnel. A formal driver announcement is expected soon.

The alliance with Robby Gordon Motorsports positions BAM Racing for a successful and competitive return to Sprint Cup racing and enhances the team's partnership with Warner Music Nashville. Warner's stars including: Larry the Cable Guy, Blake Shelton, Gloriana, Whitney Duncan, Jessica Harp, James Otto, Jason Jones, and others to be named soon will be featured on the BAM car and in the BAM Racing/Warner Music Nashville VIP Fan Experience.

"After the Warner Music Nashville partnership was finalized, we felt that the best way to reenter Sprint Cup Series competition was to align ourselves with an established team inside the Top-35. Positioning ourselves with Robby Gordon Motorsports gives us a solid foundation entering next month's race in Daytona and provides an excellent marketing platform to feature Warner Music Nashville artists," said Tony Morgenthau, Co-owner of BAM Racing.

"We are absolutely thrilled to be returning to the racetrack," commented Beth Ann Morgenthau, Owner of BAM Racing. "Racing is my passion, and I can't stress how deeply I have missed attending all the races and being part of the Sprint Cup Series. I am excited for the opportunity that Robby Gordon Motorsports has provided us. For a single car team, Robby Gordon Motorsports has made huge strides, and their personnel and equipment are first class."

What part of that even insinuates a transfer of owner points???

BAM has their stuff set up for a 36 race season..they need cars, tech support...theyre better off served getting that from someone than building it themselves... RGM supllies that and gets paid for it..

The #49 will have to make it on time or race in for that 500 (and the first 5)
yeah, it's not a MERGER, it's an ALLIANCE.
now back to our regularly scheduled Dakar programming....lol
only 7 hrs away
crap..i better get some sleep...

ROLL TIDE...lol
