RGM will give the 49 a good RACE car for Daytona.

However, I would be a bit worried about qualifying...

2010 RGM plate cars will qualify MUCH better than they did in 2009. Fall Dega qualifying got rained out, else you would have seen the improvement. He did lead that race though, on his own ( not staying out under yellow, etc )

Dega plate car in October was $$$$$...as good as or better than the 2007 one

I can't believe it took me this long but I finally figured out what BAM stands for.

On another note maybe they can hire Terry Labonte for the champion's provisional.

I doubt it. He's a pretty hot commodity now with the first 5 rule. Winning a title late in your career guarantees a ride even after you're washed up. If Schrader had won a title , he would drive for another 15 years.

TOG, I am confused does this mean that the 7 points transfer to the 49? I sure hope not because as much as we love Rob he has never been a great qualifier and Daytona is an absolute crap shoot as we witnessed what happened to the team in 05... just sayin and not trying to stir up a hornets nest or create drama. By the way the Freightliner Argossy is a great video, amazing how he is viewed with"Rock star" status in the Dakar. Makes you think that hopefully the basic Nascar RG hater fan could stumble upon these Dakar videos and see what RG is all about. will miss Doug, but hopefully a more positive Nasacr 2010 season will happen.
