Its getting warm in here ! lol
The initial press release from BAM stated "Agreements have been reached with a driver and for an alliance with a top 35 team. Attorneys are working feverishly to complete the necessary documents in time for both announcements to be made on BAM Spirit, Wed., 8 PM Eastern, 1.6.2010 on RaceTalkRadio.com...."

We heard about the alliance first, and only today hearing about one race for a driver. Sounds to me like they couldn't reach an accord with driver #1, or talks may still be ongoing for a full time. Guess we gotta stay tuned folks.
I hope that if Robby drives for someone else, it would be a more established team. But, cash is king...
That almost makes too much sense. Let's follow the other dart just to keep the thread active.

Robby Gordon Motorsports 7 Toyota

(Updated Jan. 19)
Just the facts: Robby Gordon is the owner/driver of the single-car operation. Jim Beam will not return as a
primary sponsor in 2010. An alliance has been formed with BAM Racing, with RGM providing technical support, race cars and personnel for BAM's 49 car.

Rumblings: It seems a rather odd partnership considering Gordon is struggling himself, saying he had sponsorship for just eight races in 2010 at last report. Perhaps Gordon will eventually jump into the 49 car, but it won't be at Daytona as David Gilliland will qualify the BAM's car for the season opener. But Gilliland is set to drive most of the season for Front Row Motorsports, so BAM still is on the hunt for a full-time driver.
Yup, I still think RG will be in the 49 at some point. I said this in the other thread, but I don't think anyone actually thought I was serious.
So if that happens, will robby drive the #7 for owners points and have bam using their sponsor?
Is that all ? No sweat ! could be worse....they could have godzilla chasing them !

repeat after me..it'll be OK, it'll be OK....
It's weird, I hear you saying "it'll be OK", but your mouth looks like you're saying 'oh crap here we go again fellas' really really fast...
Robby should try to get IKEA to sponsor him. His colors would not be so cool (Blue and Yellow), but they are worldwide. It would also probably bring a lot of Nascar fans who have no clue what IKEA is to a store near them to check it out. A Win/Win situation for both. Just a thought?

IKEA info:
IKEA Founder Ingvar Kamprad made headlines in early 2004 when Swedish business magazine Veckans Affarer reported that he had surpassed Bill Gates as the world's wealthiest person. While IKEA's unconventional ownership structure makes this the matter of some debate, there is no doubt that IKEA is still one of the largest, most successful privately held companies in the world, with over 200 stores in 31 countries, employing over 75,000 people and generating over 12 billion in sales annually.
Now that's funny...
