Kinda nit-picky, but #204 is such a lame number......even #207 is better #204. I wonder how the car number request went down at NASCAR HQ? Robby is so popular there.....
The car will be the #4 but is registered as the #204 because Robby owns limited rights to the number four. So for example, whoever, if anyone owns the #4 or #104 and made the race, Robby would have to change the number because they own more restricted rights.
Generally cars appear as "2--" or "1--" on the entry list when they aren't an every-race team...like for instance, Joe Nemechek has been listed as 187 for most of the season on entry lists, and 171 for David Gilliland, etc.
204 wont be on the car it should be 04 Nascar hasn't had a three digit number on the cars since the sixty's. The 4 is an owned number and I imagine for some clerical reason the 2- in 204 is a desination given two new numbers running limited races hence the number will be 04 . Just like Joey's 02 from last season it was registered as 202
ESPN? Seriously....you rely on those chuckleheads to give you the straight story? Next thing you'll say is someone in 50 acres is going to be flying a cow flag...
