REST IN PEACE RICK WE WILL MISS YOU !!!!!!!!!
Rick and Jeff his brother were both on the plane. The Huseman's where a class of there own. They will be missed.
I've also heard it reported that somebody by the name of Nick Hoffman was on the plane as well. I know there was a Dirt Modified racer that Carl Edwards owned or sponsored the team that had that same name, not sure (and I hope not) if it was him though.
I havent been this sad since we lost Sr . This however hits a little closer to home since i actually got to meet Rick . It was once at Unadilla back in the CORR days , Rick was driving the FABTECH Prolite Ford Ranger and then i met him again at Crandon when he drove the FABTECH Toyota Tundra Pro-4 in the last yr before the TORC / LOORRS split . Both times he was happy and jovial with not only me but all the fans . Rick was one of those drivers who always made time for the fans , cause in a sense i think he was as much a fan as we were . He truly loved the sport of OFF-ROAD .
I also met him at unadilla, I still have his and all the other drivers autographs on my wall. The entire group of guys was great except for a few.
Sad day for motorsports, that's for sure. Thoughts and prayers for all!

Heres the 2 trucks im talking about brings back alot of good memories :-)
unadilla was an awsome track i wish it would have kept going. im guessing it didnt do to its location.
Just found this on jalopnik.com

Rick Huseman, off-road racing champion, dies in plane crash
Champion off-road racer Rick Huseman was killed this afternoon in a plane crash near Barstow, California. While unrelated to the death of Dan Wheldon, it's another sad occasion in what will long be remembered as a dark day in motorsports history.

The accident occurred approximately 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon when the plane, a Beach 33 Bonanza, was attempting to make an emergency landing at the Barstow/Dagget Airport. Huseman and his family were returning from the Monster Energy Cup held in Las Vegas last night. According to DIRTNewz, his younger brother Jeff was one of the three people killed. It's unclear who the third victim is.

Huseman has been racing 1997 and was the first PRO4X4 Traxxas TORC Series Championship in 2009, garnering six wins and 10 podium finishes. In 2010, Husman won the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro-4 Championship. He was in second place in the 2011 Lucas Oil Series following the most recent race in Arizona, just 23 points behind the leader.

Huseman was 38 years old.
Got home today from spectating the BITD race in parker AZ. texted my nephew who I went to the race with and he told me about the wreck in vegas and now the news about Huseman. I was really up about the great action we got to see but now it just doesn't seem important. We all love motorsports or we wouldn't be here, today put things into perspective. While we are all entertained by racing there can be terrible consequences. My heart goes out to both young men and their friends and familys.
Sincere condolences to the families and friends. Rick, we will miss you.
Was thinking bout doing a tribute paint job on my rc trucks but i guess TRAXXAS already has had 1 one for a while now . Its an older paint job though since it is the FABTECH scheme and not Monster .
