Last year Robby and Roger Penske had a partnership in which Robby ran there motors. what happened with that wouldn't that be the best thing for dodge because there are on 3 dodges running?

never disagree with the person who has the "Ban" button within arms reach at all times haha

Sorry but i have to agree with TOG. The fact that Robby made the 500 with RGM equiptment and not a leased motor says something about the team and the program. Look at all of the other teams that used leased equiptment. More specifically, look at all of the Rousch Fenway motors that are in the 500. The only one that didn't make it was Mike Wallace due to a mechanical failure. Now that he is in, it makes a ton of sense to pay $100K for and engine that will make him more competetive in a race he enjoys.

Going forward with the S&P races, it would be great to see the in house motors qualify for the race to reduce overall expenses this season.

Robby PUT A HEMI IN IT yours Rogers Idon't care. Got to be proud that your team your shop your determination got Robby Gordon Motorsports in the Daytona 500. I saw Speed all over the place yesterday. GAS ON!!

save the money Rob, stick with the RGM motor, drive around in the back, wait for the pack to take everyone out, get your top 15, take the cash and run....It'll pay a few bills at the shop and possibly another race or two that wasn't to be.

keep the car in the top 35, next year make a deal with another team needing the points.. Rob drives 10 races with Speed on the car, and they get the rest with who ever they have !

How about we just buy a Penske motor, win the Daytona 500, get added races from Mapei and Menards, all while gaining maximum exposure for SPEED Energy. Winning the Daytona 500 is much more important than running 4-5 other races this season.

Now thats a great idea!!!

Woods didnt seem to get much from winning

A penske RP engine is >$100K a RGM RP engine is <$40K You have to pay Roger even if you miss the show a huge hit for RGM if he missed it plus Penske does not do patial leases. An engine lease isnt just a motor that show up in a crate, it also encludes Penske Engineers that are 100% in control of the power plant while it is in the 7. Roger would have to allocate a very expensive salaried person to the 7 and the scarce FI induction system.

one also has to think of quantity. Does Penske even have motors available ? These are the new , fuel injected plate motors. I find it hard to believe that Penske would have a bunch of spare, dynoed, ready to go Fuel injected plate motors sitting in the shop , before a race has even been run with the new system.

Might go beyond just writing a check.

Good point. Team Penske might have a couple of extra engines but it may depend on if AJ or Brad need a new engine before the 500. That may not be known until AFTER happy hour practice.

Hopefully RGM and Arrington learned something yesterday that they can apply for Sunday's race if needed.

TOG will you let us know if it happens?
