Congrats to Robby Gordon and the entire RGM crew for their 3rd place finish today at Charlotte.
Robby stayed out during the last caution for rain, and the rain never stopped. Prior to the yellow, Robby did manage to stay on the lead lap and had a car that got good on the long runs. Robby admitted during a rain-delayed interview that the car was probably a top 15 car, but great strategy improved that finish.

CONCORD, N.C. – NASCAR kept the rear axle housing of Robby Gordon's car following the Coca-Cola 600 and will do further inspections of it this week at its Research and Development Center, NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said Monday night.

If there are any penalties to Gordon and his Robby Gordon Motorsports team, they will be announced later this week, Tharp said.

Awesome RGM!!! It's about time Robby caught a break!!!
According to Nascar, the "excessive toe in," on RGM's dif housing cost him 50 driver, and 50 owner points.
2008 Same thing happened to Kyle Busch...No Penalty was ever issued.

After finishing fifth in the Pep Boys Auto 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch's No. 18 Toyota has failed post-race inspection.

The rear-end housing has been confiscated by NASCAR and will be further inspected at the NASCAR R&D center in Concord, N.C. upon the official return this week.

NASCAR wants to double-check the measurements after the car failed post-race inspection.

Last week, another Toyota team of Brian Vickers failed post-race inspection when it was learned that the team had dipped the sheet metal in acid to make it thinner.

And earlier this year, Joe Gibbs Racing was caught cheating in Michigan when the Nos. 18 and 20 cars in the Nationwide Series were found to have magnets under the gas pedals. It was a move to throw off the horsepower reading during the Dyno tests.

The No. 18 car will be looked over on Monday, and any penalty will be issued thereafter.

No penalty was ever issued.
This crap sucks. i mean look at all the team has dealt with this year .If you are not breaking the rule book your not trying to win.NASCAR knows this i think they pick on certain teams.Great call, good try, keep working RGM.
